bb weight difference's.....?

just curious as to what a #6 lead ...#6 copper...#6 hevi....weigh does anyone know the weights....don't wanna get anything started just curious in the bb weight difference I have no scales

See the FAQ sticky at the top of the "Turkey Guns" page you are now on. It lists the weight of pellets of all the major shot types. There is no significant difference in the weight of a lead pellet and a CP lead pellet. Yes, copper is less dense than lead, but the copper plating is actually a copper wash and is so thin as to not influence the weight of the pellet. You will notice that the density of lead in that table is listed as 10.6 gm/cc. All pellets used in turkey loads, whether CP, NP, or unplated use what is known as magnum grade shot as opposed to chilled shot. Magnum grade shot contains more antimony than does chilled shot in order to make the pellet harder, but the addition of antimony lowers the density of the pellet. The density of chilled shot is 11 gm/cc, but again the shot used in turkey loads is approximately 10.6 depending on antimony content.
