What's the word on Pure Gold chokes? I'm looking at buying a .670 for the 870 im working on.

Buddy on here gets 220 average in his 3" 870 and 3" tristar with hevi 3" 6s and mag blends using pure gold .670s.

I got your answer.  Now this pattern below was the same Hevi-13 3" 2oz #7 load.  The turkey target was on top of the cardboard backer.  I traced a 10" circle around the densest part of pattern.

I'll add that Bill Davis at Pure Gold makes one of the strongest and best quality turkey chokes on the market.  They also look great.

IMO, it's one of if not the best chokes out there that throws a great hunting pattern with HTL. There are others for sure that will put up better 10" numbers, but the .670 throws a very evenly spaced pattern which I consider to more important in my personal hunting situations.
