Longbeards at close range?

Has anyone patterned the Longbeards at close range, say 15 yds or so?  Wondering if it is like a slug at close range and when it starts opening up.  Couldn't help but buy a box, but too cold to shoot around here.  Thanks.

I have shot it at 20, and it looked identical to turkey thugs.  It wasn't "too tight" as a lot of people try to say it "might be" (without ever testing it)

If you shoot it at 15, expect to see a baseball hole through the paper... my gun does this with light dove loads, 15 yards is too close to even attempt to gather information from.

I never shoot at 5 yds.  I usually let them walk a little closer then grab it.

You jest, but I HAVE done that!  Tom caught me off guard and came in quiet behind me while I worked a bird in front of me.  When he gobbled...at no more than 15 yards behind me I about shat myself, and amazingly didn't spook him when i swear I came about a foot off the ground!  He strutted right to left, right in front of the barrel of my 835 at no more than 4 yards.  Thank god for good trigger jobs because all I had to do was wait for him to put his own head in front of the gunand I literally ERASED his face and most of his neck, rolling him back probably another 3 or 4 yards.  I have a polaroid of it somewhere I'll have to find and scan.  Talk about gruesome!!

I have shot the lb's at 20 yards to see if there was any significant rise in pattern I could not. There also no golf ball hole just a lot of shot in a seven or eight inch diameter. At that range a bird would most likely loose it's head.

Looks like most of my 20 yard patterns but possibly a bit over choked?

The 20yd patterns I have seen with the LB's are not any tighter than my patterns with other loads at that distance. Thanks for posting.
