Sumtoy, Win LongBeard #5's, Mossberg 835

Just got my Sumtoy in the mail. Decided to see what it would do and I am impressed thoroughly. It was 39 degrees I was shooting a Mossberg 835 24'' bbl, Win. Long Beard XR 3.5'' 2oz. #5's at a lased 40 yards at the end of the barrel. Had 183 in the 10'' circle, 297 total hits.

The corners of the particle board that have shot in them were from older patterns. I tried to cut them off the best I could and marked each pellet as to not confuse with the Long Beard pattern.

I'm very happy with that and cant wait to try it again with warmer temps. Hope to be over the 200 mark.

That looks good to me. I haven't shot the longbeards out of my 835. I got 4 boxes of 3.5-6's waiting.  I would rather mine be 180-190 in the 10. I don't want mine doing 250 in the 10 @40.

6's you should be able to get all over the 200 mark.

Those 5's look GREAT!!!   I have a SumToy in my 835 as well...I might need to give those 5's a spin!

You're going to want something around .690 then probably.

There is nothing wrong with that.. But I like that pattern you got. The Turkey thug's  3.5"  #5  have been around 150 in the 10 @40 in my 835. I bought several boxes of the long beards. I might try them today. These shells are a game changer for sure.

You're going to want something around .690 then probably.

X2.  I shot 180 with a .690 Jellyhead and 260's with a .670 SSX in my 835.  That was with #6's.

I was thinking with these patterns these throw. I will probably have to use the factory .695 that come worth one of my 835's.
