We had the 5th H.H. Banquet for the Jackson County Wild Turkeys last evening. It's a pretty small chapter, just about 150 members but I don't know that I've enjoyed a banquet more.
Doris and I have been members for something over 30 years now, having participated in the chartering of, at last count, about 7 chapters.
We've enjoyed all of them and met many fine folks over the years.
This is the most relaxed group we've met. Maybe it's just because we're at this stage of our lives but the camaradarie is strong, everyone works so it's no burden on anyone and very frankly, the items that are on both the live and silent auctions are just of higher quality.
Neither Doris nor I won a prize. We carried home a number of prizes for other people who had to leave early and will get them delivered this coming week. There were lots of guns and other related prizes that anyone, anywhere would like.
Our special thanks to Jim Garver our RD and to all the committee members as well as everyone who attended.
Have you had your banquet? How was it?
Thanks,
Clark
