I know this could be a little too much overload for some of you guys but I just had to post this. I had just gotten done filming a flock of turkeys and was headed out when I saw this group. I could hear this group from where I was filming the other group and there was another group between us. As best I could count there were 9 longbeards, 14 Jakes, and 57 hens. The other 2 groups had 12 or more longbeards in each group. All these turkeys were within 1/2 mile. I'm not going to post the early morning flydown because you guys would hunt me down and shoot me if I did. Enjoy,

Joe that is more turkeys in one group than we have in the entire state of Alabama. Enjoy!! :drool:

That's because of Guess Who killing half of the turkeys in Bama every season!! ;) If you guys hunted him this season, instead of turkeys, the number of turkeys in Bama would increase exponentially, and your success along with it!! :lol: ;D :TooFunny:

in the video,at 1:18, there is a bird in full strut with a stubby beard sticking strait out.....what do make of it ???    i passed on a strutter like that but as it walked away i realized how big it was.. ???

It was a Jake. There were 14 Jakes in this group.

 I went scouting this morning and saw only one hen. Heard none gobbling and the loggers are cutting some of our prettiest woods on the place. At least I saw some fresh scratching.

I saw two long beards in a field at work yesterday and I about crapped myself...I couldn't take seeing all of that...
