Starting this weekend....scouting will comence !!!!!

The birds are gobbling a little and doing some strutting !!!

no gobbles heard yet behind the house, but I might sneak out for some scouting  This will be my 2nd year as turkey hunter, and I am dying to get out there.

I've been doing some scouting didn't hear any gobbling yet

I saw two different flocks today....
1st one had around 45 birds in it....1 STRUTTER.... a couple other gobblers among them. 

2nd flock was 9 LONGBEARDS....two of them were pushing and shoving each other around !!!   
none of them ever went into strut.....no hens around that I saw.

The birds where very active here today. Gobbling and strutting. I was glassing the flock and I saw the best bearded hen I have ever seen. The beard was 8" or so and fairly thick for a hen.

Heard 7 gobblers this morning  a lot of Owls.....birds where hammering to the owl calls !!!     Awesome morning in the woods.

Hey Byhalia - I cleaned up and glued the bottom in a classic Mountain Side glass call last night.  After I get the top glued in I might just have to put it in my own vest.  I heard you might have been looking for one so you might want to get on it.  It should be ready to do some talking this weekend!

It is now in my possession...... refurbished and ready to go....made in 1998 !!!
