These are the calls that I sent to Nashville for the National Convention. The box call is a minaturized Cost style box call with a Black Walnut Lid & Base with a Paulownia hewn box.
The Pot call I sent is a Bubinga Glass over Glass with a Bubinga striker with a feather woodburned onto the back of the call.
I sent 2 crow calls. Both calls are all wooden calls both of which have a Padauk tone board. The first one has the following woods (Top to Bottom) Spalted Black Locust Burl, Gaboon Ebony, Cocobolo, Bloodwood, Canarywood, Bloodwood and Olivewood. The second crow call is Bocote.
I sent 2 Jordan Yelpers both of which have a little different internal to them. Both calls have a Delrin Mouth Piece fitted into the call. The first one is Jatoba over Figured Asian Satinwood, the second is Purpleheart over Wenge.
I also sent 2 Yelpers. Both calls have Delrin mouthpieces with an elk antler ferrule. The first call is Lignum Vitae with a Gaboon Ebonly bell cap, and a thin delrin spacer between the elk antler ferrule. The Trumpet is Olivewood. Both of these calls also have a little different internal to them.
I thought between the 2 contests that I entered this year that I would send each call with a little different internal to see what the judges think and which one the judges seem to like the best. I know the turkeys like each of my internals as each of my internals have killed gobblers but I guess we have to see what the human judges want to hear.
Thanks for the look and good luck to everyone who sent calls to the comp.
