That sounds like an episode of "mountain monsters" but I don't think they got in the pit to grab the 'squatch' though, probably because their film crew would have been too tempted to fill the hole in with a bulldozer.............

Nah, too much work.  Run on to a woven wire fence and grab him. 

No BS, I did that in 2007 at my in laws place in MO.  Two year old gobbler with inch spurs!
