Over the past few years there has been quite a few questions on whether to get a DSD or "other" decoy.
I don't use decoys a lot, but I did get a DSD Upright Hen last year. I used it one day and was in a hurry to get it in the ground to work a gobbler and in the process messed the decoy up. The red clay I put it in was dry and hard, and when I jammed the stake in the ground while inserted in the decoy, I ended up pushing the screw that they use for a stake stop up through the top of the decoy. Now I have a bright silver screw sticking out of the back.
I contacted DSD on Twitter a while back and asked if there was a way I could fix it. I fully admitted to them that it was my fault and not a defect with their product. I even offered to pay for the repair.
I just received a message from DSD asking me to ship the decoy to them and they would fix it free of charge or replace it if it can't be fixed on their dime.
This is the ultimate example of OUTSTANDING customer service. Especially when you mess the product up.
So, when you have a question on which decoy company to buy from, consider DSD. Great American made products and great customer service.
