While deer hunting during OHio's muzzy season this past Saturday I was sitting in my blind over looking a food plot of winter rye and wheat when all of a sudden a flock of 20 long beards came in. I was shocked......we have owned this farm since the early 80's and I have never seen a flock of gobblers like this (in person or on cam). All had 8-12" beards. Not saying they will all stick around, but even if a 1/4 stick around it could be some fun. I had some come up within 5' of my blind. I can't imagine them going that far though....
It past years I would see large flocks of hens...pushing 30-40 birds. This year and last year I am seeing more gobblers then hens.
