Botetourt County officials believe a woman found dead Friday morning outside her Eagle Rock home fatally shot herself.

Deputies found 62-year-old Jerry Michael Paitsel in a bedroom in the home with a "possible" gunshot wound to his head, Dudding said. He was flown to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital; spokesman Eric Earnhart had no information on his condition Friday afternoon.
Craft and Paitsel both lived at the residence, Dudding said, though he didn't describe their relationship. Records show the pair formerly listed a shared address in Covington.
Dudding said a handgun was found next to Craft's body and said the incident is still being investigated but that "no suspect is actively being sought at this time."
