The TRUE Meaning of CHRISTMAS!!

Over 2000 years ago, there was a man born contrary to the laws of life. This man lived in poverty & was raised in obscurity. He didn't travel extensively, only once did he cross the boundary of the country in which he lived and that was during his exile in childhood. He possessed neither wealth nor a formal education. His relatives were poor & had neither training nor influence. But in infancy, he startled the king. In childhood, he puzzled doctors and in manhood, he ruled the course of nature & walked upon the waters as if they were pavement. Even the winds & the rain obeyed his will when he said "Peace be still." He healed the multitudes without medicine and made no charge for his service. He never wrote a book yet all the libraries in this nation wouldn't hold the books that have been written about him. He never wrote a song yet there have been more songs written about him than all the songwriters combined. He never marshaled an army, drafted a soldier nor fired a gun but no leader has ever had as many volunteers, made more rebel, stack arms & surrender without a shot fired. He never practiced psychiatry, but he's healed more broken hearts than all the doctors far and near. Many past names of great scientists, philosophers, & theologians have come and gone. Many past names of great statesmen from Greece and Rome have come and gone but the name of this man abounds more and more. Over 2000 years have passed from this generation to the scene of his crucifixion yet today Thank God he still lives. Today he is seated at the right hand of the father making intercession for you & I, proclaimed of God, acknowledged by angels, adored by saints and feared by devils. This man is Jesus Christ, our wonderful Lord and Savior, who suffered, bled and died on an old rugged cross over 2000 years ago to save every man, woman, boy and girl from sin. Do you know him today as your personal Savior? If not, there will never be a better time than right now to humble your hearts & say "I want you Jesus as my Lord and Savior." So as we all celebrate Christmas this year, let us remember in our heart, this tiny baby that was born over 2000 years ago, who became the Savior for all mankind. Let us remember what he went through for each of us because he loved us with an Agape love that surpasses all understanding. I would like to say "Thank You Lord for coming to earth and living a perfect life & taking such a brutal death for me all because You loved me.  Thank you Lord for saving my soul"

Merry Christmas & God Bless

May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

She sure is redarrow!  I greatly appreciate the kind words also.  Both my mom and dad did a great job....I've been very blessed my dad has been a minister and pastor for many years and started when I was in diapers!  Then at the age of 19 I was called into the ministry then a few years after that I was an assistant pastor for about 7 yrs.  Now the Lord has placed me as a youth minister at the church I'm at now.  I'm truly blessed!  My family and I have sure went through our trials and struggles especially with my dad being so sick for the last 10 + yrs.  But he brought us through it....my dad is doing great now and the Lord works wonders in my life everyday.  I'm sure not rich by mans standards and there is many times I half to rob Peter to pay Paul...but I know without a doubt when I close my eyes for the final time on this earth I'll be opening them to see my Heavenly Father and Lord.   There is no amount of money or earthly possessions that can buy or assure me of what my Heavenly Father has.....I'm completely unworthy of all he has given me!  I'm so thankful he saved a sinner like me!!

Sorry didn't mean to preach but I love to talk about my Lord and Savior....I have so much to praise him for!   God bless you to brother and Merry Christmas!

Very nice VA. It brings such peace and joy to my heart to hear someone lift up and give praises to our Lord and Savior. We are all so undeserving of His mercy and grace. Thank you Jesus for loving us.

                                                                   Your brother in Christ, Steve
