my wife and i are looking to finish our slam this spring, hopefully.  we need a rio.  ive looked at a few outfitters..full strut guide service and arrow head lodge.  looking for an affordable hunt that will posssibly that let us split a hunt instead of buying 2 hunts with 4 tags..we just want one each.  some places will do that, others will not and thats fine and i understand.

anyone got any suggestions?

I wish you luck I tried to get a hold of Full strut guide service for over 2 months.   return call or emails.  I also tried to get in touch with Whitehorse creek outfitters in Oklahoma with no responses.  I ended up booking with Innovative outfitters in KS.  I have heard nothing but good things about these guys on archerytalk.  Good luck in your search

I have gotten in touch with both, and also talked to innovative.  I was planning to go with them, but lost contact on archery talk.  They used to advertise the hunts some but can't seem to find them any more.
They offered great pricing as well if I remember correctly.

If any of you have any more info on innovative or full strut, please let me know here or via pm.  I'm also open to other options as well.

Try Stuart Ranch Outfitters in Oklahoma if you are wanting to go with a guide.  They have two ranches that equate to over 40,000 acres and the chisholm trail ran through part of it.  Lots of birds, and Clay is as good of a guy as you can ask for.

Genesis 27:3 - Now then, get your weapons—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

I looked into Stuart Ranch.  They only had dates available at their ranch that only had easterns.  Great communication from them.  Seemed like a real nice guy.

All I did was email him.  I knew he was on AT, but never got in touch with him there.  He is pretty good about getting back to you thru email.  I also spoke with a guy that hunted there last year thru AT.

If Clay is booked at  Stuart Ranch then look at Rawhide Creek in Taloga, OK  or check with J&J hunting in Arnett, OK.  I know both outfitters and they are good guys.  J&J is a simi-guided/almost drop camp kinda hunt with comfortable but simple amenities, while Rawhide Creek is guided to the fullest extent.

You might want to check with Newly at Chain Ranch as well, I've never hunted with him and to be honest i don't know him very well but his reputation precedes him and I've never heard any thing but good.

Here is some links.

J&J hunting would be John Miller 580 939 2498

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
