I just found out that KS. will go from a 4 bird to 1 bird limit in the fall of 2014. This is based on resident SPRING success rates of 53% the last two years,55% being the barometer. You can't stock pile wildlife can you? There was nothing said about poor spring hatches, weather issues etc. I'm a die hard fall turkey hunter but I don't see how this will increase resident spring success. Half of the birds that pull through the winter will be hens and can't be shot in spring. The fall kill is said to be 6000-10,000. The number of fall turkey hunters is so low and that amount of birds is low too. The extra game tags are only good for about half the state. So what are they going to do for the other half of the states residents?
