Got my new PG in today

Received my new PG choke today. I noticed that it does no have the wad cather rings inside like the IC choke. Is this normal and PG does not use this technoligy?

They don't use them. Wad catchers aren't always necessary for a good pattern.

PG uses the ports as catchers to slow the wad. Look at one of your wads, when you shoot through it.

after you put a load through it and clean it you will see how it works. each port is cut on a angle so that it catches and slows the wad
