Proverbs 13:20(NKJV)
20 He who walks with wise men will be wise,
But the companion of fools will be destroyed.
1 Corinthians 15:33 (NKJV)
33 Do not be deceived: "Evil company corrupts good habits."
In the above verses we are told through the Word, to be careful of who we hang around with in our lives. Sometimes a man is judged by his actions, rather than his words. Just the action of being in the company of someone else may hurt your character, or witness. Today, and throughout the weekend particularly, as we are about, let us look to our lefts, and rights, and see who we have as company.
Father God,
Your Word tells us to be careful in who we associate with as friends. We are not referring to being apostles, and preaching to the lost, as all are to be told Your Word; but help us to choose friends which will build not only us up, but mainly, to build Your Kingdom for Your glory. Help us not to have a "better than you attitude", but a Spirit of discernment in who we associate with in our lives, and a Spirit of love.
Lead, guide, and direct our paths, towards Your will for each of us, and Your plans. May we be humble, and show Your love to those around us. May we be the light, though this love, to those who are searching and lost. We ask for other Godly men and women to be placed in our lives, to help us, and them, grow in Your works, and Word.
May Your will be done in our lives.
For it is in the name of Jesus, the name above all names, we ask, and claim these things, Amen!
