I recieved a brand new replacement gun from rem. on fri. Sept 19th, they deemed the gun I sent back UNREPAIRABLE. Its too bad they didnt find this out the first time it went back, for those of you that didnt read my earlier posts, I sent a brand new 870 turkey back because the barrel and reciever were terribly misaligned, and they sent it back to me FIXED but still very misaligned. I am glad the second turnaround time wasnt very long (approx 1 month) i hear this is very good for a replacement gun. The new gun is perfect, no issues what so ever, and I even recieved a paper from one of their in house gunsmiths stating that the gun was gon over with a fine tooth comb before it was sent to me. This is the quality of gun I should have recieved in the beginning, but oh well atleast I got it now.
I shot it on sunday and it shoots exactly poa-poi. I believe it is a keeper! As i stated in an earlier post, it was t the fact that a lemon slipped through that irritated me, I understand that all manufacturers have the ocasional flaws slip through, its just the fact that I had to send it back twice before they would the right thing! I wont beat them up too bad, atleast they did come through, but I believe they cold have handled it a little more professionally the first time.
I have patterned it with a ventilator choke tube that Another member here was nice enought to let me try, and buy if I liked it. And it patterns well with it, I also mounted a swift 1.5-4.5 shotgun scope, this is a nice set up, sure hope i get to use it soon.
