Philippians 2:3-5 (NLT)
3 Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
In reading the above scripture, one must ask, how many people he/she has served yesterday or today? Christ had a selfless attitude. Though He was God, he became human, by choice, and served mankind. He served the sinners, the sick, and the needy.
Have you lowered yourself to be a servant, or are you waiting to be served?
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the example of being a servant. May we learn from Your Word, and example, and have a heart being able to love all. To accept and love people, even when we do not approve of their actions. To be able to humble ourselvers and serve others in Your likeness.
Forgive us where we have failed You, and lift us up when we fall. Not for our honor, but Yours.
May Your kingdom be built, and proclaimed in our daily lives.
For it is in Jesus name we ask and claim these things, Amen!!
