Scrambling for a place to hunt opening day in SC

The land manager informed me last week the place I've been hunting opening day for the last ten years is off limits opening day this year.

The reason is they have a hunt that was donated to charity that gets first dibs this year.  Can't really complain.  It's for a good cause.  I'll be able to hunt there later after they have hunted.  I'm just without a place to hunt opening day.

I was relaying this info to the father of one of my wife's students and he said, "Heck!  Come hunt my place."  I didn't even know he had a place.  I'm doing some scouting there Sat.  Thank you Lord Jesus!  Looks like I won't miss opening day after all!
