Reading this morning from Paul in 2 Corinthians 10:3-6
2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (MSG)
3-6 The world is unprincipled. It's dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair. But we don't live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren't for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.
Several key words I noted in the above scripture: world, battles, tools, smashing, clearing, and building.
It also reads "It's dog-eat-dog out there!" So, with our warning, and instruction, I ask you if you are ready this morning? Are you able to tear and build effectively, ie. are your tools sharp, oiled, and ready for production? Do you know the game plan, ie. God's will for you? And most importantly, are you on the right team, ie. do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior?
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for another day, and opportunity to praise Your name, and bring You glory!! Thank you for equipping each of us, a unique plan, and tools to carry out Your will. We know the battles have already been won, through the resurrection of Christ, and want to be a part of the team. Let Your Holy Spirit lead, guide, direct, and protect our lives, families, and naation (it won't let me write the word without double "aa"s), in all we do, for Your glory and honor.
For it is in Jesus' name we ask and claim these things, Amen!!
God Bless,
David B.
