After some seductive yelping on my box call I had this bird come into range. While waiting for a good shot the tom spooked for some reason and started rubbernecking. I put my red dot a tad in front of his noggin and sent a load of 3 1/2" Nito's his way. Dropped like a sledgehammer hit him.
One of my heavier birds 22.9 lbs

I'd take 'em like that all day long.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons. However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Congrats on a very nice bird. He is a heavy one. IMO ANY gobbler that weighs an honest 20 pounds or more is a big one. I have killed alot more under 20 than over. Again great bird.
Deer see you and think you are a stump. The Old Gobbler sees a stump and thinks it is YOU!
