Just got a good deal on a Kicks .660. Gonna try to turn some 5 patterns out of both rem 870's, 21" bbl and 28" bbl. looking to shoot 100+ @ 40. This is my last hoorah with trying to get 5's to pattern. Patterns I have gotten with 5's in the past 35 years have been killers at 30-35 yards..drop off big time @ 40.

That's the choke I run in my Mossberg 5500 mkii, let me tell you I have no problem turning 100+ out of a 3" shell at 40 yds with 5's. Mine done around 117 with Winchester super x, 110 with the black Winchester.try some federal fcw shells in that choke and you will most likely be surprised.

I shoot Win HV 3 1/2" 5's and get right at 95-100 in a 10" circle at 40, I look at the area around the 10 for eveness and no gaping holes, that is what is really key IMO.  I want to know what he's walking into if he moves left or right!
