Ok so i got my Kicks GT .680 in today shot #5,#6, 3" and  3 1/2" at 25 and 40 yds i know the kicks ate up all the wads minus the win double X 3 1/2" #6 plus they had a little more kick to em.
Also wouldnt mind shooting past 40 yd but it seems 40 would worry me. Just put a can and bottle up to compare the #5 and #6 3 1/2". the #5 got 5 hits on a can, #6 got 8. really liked the #6 was thinking that it would benifit me to trade in the .680 for the .670 or .675. i just looked at the chart on kicks to order chokes but it seems the #6 did better than the #5. so any help would be awesome.

#5 3" 25 yd shot a little right but just getting use to the gun

#5 3 1/2" 25 yd shot a little right again, just me though not gun

#6 3" 25 yd thought it was the gun so i compensated. shot left

#6 3 1/2" 25 yd finally on.

in this took so shots so i know id be on out to 40 yds.

#5 3" 40 yd

#5 3 1/2" 40 yd

#6 3 1/2" 40

#6 3" 40 yd

Just my opinion but the only way you'll get a good look is to shoot at a bigger paper.  Get a posterboard or something that size, dot in the middle, aim and shoot.  Then figure out your densest 10" circle and count pellets.  Do this at 40 yards.  If you get more than 100 pellets in 10" at 40 yards you have a solid combo, if not tinker with it, different loads, different chokes.  Once you figure that out work on sighting in either with open sights or a red dot.  Hopefully your point of aim POA and point of impact POI will be very similar and not require much adjustment if any.  My personal opinion is that at .680 choke is pretty open if you would like a 40 yard consistent killer but it's all about what your gun likes.  Also if you're interested in the best patterns, Hevi-13 will outshoot lead shot nearly every time. Expensive yes but with rebates and sales you can get a decent deal.  Good luck.

mine really likes a .660 with the hevi 13 #7's

NFW

what kind of patterns are you lookin at or how big, like 20 yd - 40 yd and past that?

K-ZONE

Definitely try heavy 7's don't waste your time with lead. The advantages are well worth the money spent.

I shoot a Carlson. 682 out of my xtrema. Hevi13 #5's shoot 200+ at 40 and are deadly but shoots pretty tight. Turkey thugs 5s easily break 100at 40 and are a more open pattern.  Depends on your range and where you hunt, but the Carlson is the best choke iv found for my Beretta. And it's killed 2 turkeys and 2 coyotes this week alone. The choke also shoots well with magnum blends

well the #5 3" are thugs, the #5 3 1/2 are rem nitros, #6 3 1/2 are win Double x #6 3" are fed is think. but i talked to Chuck at kicks and hes sending me the .670 so well try this again and see what it looks like.
