Mounted my scope last night
it is a tru glo gobble stopper scope with the integrated weaver style base, the one with the two cross bolts
after mounting it i noticed that only one of the cross bolts slide into the weaver base and the other does not, is this right or do i need a different weaver base so that both cross bolts fit into a slot>>>??? any help would be greatly appreciated

That is correct.  The front one goes in the slot and the rear one is above the base, correct. The rear cross bolt is just for extra clamping power.  They must do that so they fit on all bases.

thank you sir i appreciate it

With that type of sight both cross bolts must fit into the base. It sounds like the base you are using is one for a rifle scope. You need a multi-slot base for the tru glo scopes.
