Guys I need help in finding a shoutgun sling to fit my gun. I put a pistol grip stock on my gun and it does not not have a stud in the stock for a standard sling. Where can I get one and what do you guys recommend? Thanks

MouthCaller

when I was a kid probably some 12 years ago wal mart used to sell a shotgun sling that I used on my single shot new england that sinched itself to the stock and barrel maybe you could find something like that or just go to a gunsmith and see if he will install a stud in it for you it shouldnt cost that much. Is there a placein the stock where you can put a sling strap through it and then use one of those metal things to loop back through it so it wont slip?

You can get the studs at any sporting goods store or maybe even wal mart. Then get a 1/4 inch drill bitt drill a pilot hole in your stock and the studs screw right I

Presuming the stock is synthetic?  If so, do not just get a screw in stud as it may crack the plastic.  Get a stud that is machine threaded and that has a nylon locking nut to secure it.

Yes it is synthtic stock. Were would i get a stud like you are talking about?

I bought a stainless one on eBay.

I know Uncle Mikes makes some.

I have a synthetic stock on my 870 and I just bought a Magazine cap/stud for a wood stock and drilled the butt stock like I would have a wooden stock and installed it all the same.  Not a problem.  the only way I might see this being a problem is on a high end fiberglass stock like a McMillian, HS Precision, or Bell& Carson...

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
