I'VE GOT  A NEW WAY TO HUNT TURKEYS DOWN HERE IN GA. I'VE BEEN USING MY 50 CAL. CVA INLINE PRIMITIVE WEAPON WITH POWERBELT BULLETS. YOU CAN USE ANY PRIMITIVE WEAPON HERE 44 CAL. OR LARGER. IT'S NOT NO EASIER THAN A SHOTGUN TO KILL THEM TOMS--I'VE USED BOTH. BORROWED DADS DOUBLE-BARRELL STEVENS 12 GUAGE THEN AND DON'T GO ENOUGH TO BUY A NEW SHOTGUN. I JUST WANTED TO KNOW BEST SHOT PLACEMENT FOR BEST KILL WOULD BE SAME AS SHOOTING THEM WITH A BOW. CAN ALSO USE THIS NUZZLELOADER TO KILL COYOTES IF I SEE ONE OF THEM. POWERBELT IS MAKING  A NEW BULLET JUST FOR KILLING TURKEYS WITH A SMALLER POWDER CHARGE RECOMMENDATION. DON'T KNOCK IT TILL YOU TRY SMOKIN'  TURKEY WITH A SMOKEPOLE. DANIEL BOONE USED ROUNDBALLS. IS THE WINGBUTT THE BEST AIMING POINT FOR KILL LIKE A BOW AT BROADSIDE SHOT? GOING IN THE MORNING--FIRST TIME THIS SEASON -ABOUT HALF GONE.

Are you for real?  Really a muzzeloading rifle?  You really owe it to yourself to achieve more satisfaction from the sport to borrow, or purchase a shotgun and chase turkeys with it.  I have killed a bird or 2 with a .22 magnum in the fall turkey season here in WV, but a rifle in spring is bad news I think.  Just my opinion.

That 60yd turkey that walks suddenly gets killed cuz of your weapon...no thank you ill stick with ml shotguns. For the record thats far from a "New" way to hunt turkeys. The mountain men and before them, earlier settlers in the eastern US were doing that centuries ago with round balls  :boon:
