Yup, heard the exact same thing, My 870 didn't pattern worth a hoot with the Rhino, and they told me, that it was in no way their choke, but it was my gun that needed work.

Pretty convenient logic on their part, huh ?

Well I sent this post to rhino and again expressed my displeasure with their customer service. I was explained that they are a very small company and that these chokes are very expensive to make and a used choke is nearly worthless to them. With that said they offered for me to either exchange it for a different choke, go shoot with Joe with this choke and others to see exactly what the problem is, or a refund. I decided to send it back for a refund since I already purchased the IC. Hopefully, they will be true to their word and issue a refund as they stated.

Kinda funny that a used choke is worthless to them.

I have gotten deals on used chokes from Kicks and I know IC will take theirs back too. I call bull on that statement too. People are looking for a deal and would buy a discounted used choke.

Why didn't you go shoot with Joe? Probably could have learned a thing or four about them!! :smiley-char092:

I really considered it. Our season starts a week from Saturday and he's out of town until next week. I have to work next week and don't want to spend a day away from the woods sighting in my gun. I have to get this thing patterned this weekend.

Man that stinks, I'm glad I have never had to use their customer service.

X2 as I've been pleased with both of mine in my M2 and SBE.

This is exactly the kind of mumbo jumbo I was referring too when it comes to a choke company standing behind what they sell.  This is why Indian Creek is second to none in my book.  I have never got the run around with Indian Creek, and that is exactly why I buy from them.  Plus they are a local company and that is just icing on the cake for me.

One of my buddies here at work bowhunter84) bought a used rhino choke off this board last year and wanted to swap to a different constriction. Rhino told him no because he was not the original owner. Still their product and still sorry customer service.

I can't say I blame them on that instance.  If you buy a used gun and want to swap it for a different caliber, is the any manufacture going to swap it?

All I can say is don't offer it if your not going to back it up with some customer support.

David,

Here at the door company that I work at, we offer a 1 year warranty on the garage doors we install. If you buy a house that we installed a door in with in the last year, you still get what is left on the warranty. Even though you are not the original owner. If you are not going to stand behind a warranty don't offer it. Now to answer your question, swap it out no questions asked.

Scott

Scott,

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to start a peeing match with ya. I'm trying to understand your thinking, and have an adult conversation.

So, if I buy a house which has a garage door installed in it by your company, and it is still within the one year warrantey, and I don't like the color of it, your company will change it out no questions asked to the color I want?

What I'm trying to communicate is, I don't see the used choke, not pattering in the non-original owner's gun to HIS liking, as a failure in parts.

Shotgun ammunition isn't traded out to customers for differnt size shot shells if a customer doen't like the way the shot patterns.

I just don't see it. Yes, I'm all about customer service, and I even pay more to local companies, which have earned my business due to customer service. However, there are somethings those companies just can't do, because it doesn't make good business sense.

God Bless,
David B.
