What's everyone doing?

Anyone else doing any hunting?

Things have gone from hot here to henned up quick like.  First few days of the season and we had birds running to us.  Now they want get within 60 yds of us and they all have hens.  Had two toms at 60 yds twice yesterday and they have done the same thing the last 3 times I have hunted them.  They keep hanging out in a small area in some pines and want leave that area for some reason.  If they do it again on Wed they will die.  Plan on going in with the cover of darkness and setting up in the middle of their home area and wait them out.  Course they will probably take up residence somewhere else by tomorrow morning.

Going to leave for IA at the end of this week.  Hunting first season there.

NC opens up this Saturday morning. Been watching some toms for the past 2 or 3 days that don't have much longer to live......

Counting down the days, 17, 16, 15 to go, come on 25th

Youth day Saturday, Season opens the 18th. Derek and I double checked the guns last weekend, I sprayed down my clothes with permanone, been doing some scouting on potential 'plan B' spots.


But mainly just waiting!!
