Neat video, I was told about it from a friend, but never saw it until now.

Somethings I came away with .

1. The man in the video is not a turkey hunter, never will be.

2. Did you notice the size of the birds at 1 1/2 yrs? It seems like it takes at least that long for a bird to mature, maybe closer to 2 yrs. So if hunting season is March, the birds lay there eggs and they hatch around May, the birds will not be mature until October, 1 1/2 yrs later.
So that is means birds in the area I hunt will not be mature, shooting size for 2 yrs maybe 3, or 2  or 3 opening weekends of the spring turkey season.
That is something to think about if you hunt the same areas and take a few birds from the same area, you could really damage your bird population by just taking a couple of gobblers a year.

Read his book, then watched this.

It is an amazing story of these great birds!

Wow! Thanks for sharing...There are plenty of things we could learn from nature. The idea of living for now and letting the future take care of itself...That's one we could likely all benefit from...
The more I understand about nature, the more I'm in awe of the maker...
