I was looking threw some old pics this afternoon and thought I would post them, It sure was a lot of fun back then going to all the shows as a young fellow and getting to know all people in the call bussiness. I miss it.
First pic is of Arline, Me and Doug Camp

This is one of the best call makes and duck call carvers of all Mr James Yule and me, ever time I seen him at the shows we would sit and talk a spell.

This is a pic of category 8,  terrapin shells, that was mine far left on the block of wood. Look at category 9 to the left only one trumpet call.

And the table with all the calls on it.

This was the winners, My Yules was the 2 place best I can remember. He let me see it before he turned it in to be judged.

That must have been a real treat to sit and listen to the old timers like Mr. Yule and Mr. Camp talk about call making and hunting turkeys.... A lot of the ol' timers are gone now and that's a real shame.  I was looking through Mickel's books the other day and thinking about some of the great call makers he got the opportunity to talk to.  There was a wealth of knowlege to be gained from those old guys!

Great pictures Wingboneman!  Thanks for sharing! :icon_thumright:

Very cool. I wish I met some of the old timers. Cool pics.

That was my first convention.  I was 18, a freshman at Clemson, 100lbs lighter and had a full head of hair.  I got meet Toxey, Mark Drury and Will Primos that Friday and I was in 7th heaven.

Shoot HC99 you probably stopped by the Camp Calls booth and shook hands with ol' Wingboneman and didn't even realize you were among greatness!  Of course his pictures show he was a 100lbs lighter too... maybe 200 :TooFunny:
