Speedbead Mount Question

I wanted to buy a Fastfire III and still be able to use my factory bead. I ended up buying the Fastfire III and the Speedbead separate.

My question is will the Fastfire III metal protector work with the Speedbead mount?  I am shooting a Benelli SBE II.

I think I read on this site a while ago that it will fit, but may obscure your vision a bit more on both eyes open shooting.   I am buying a speedbead for my Maxus btw.
