I have an 80's Auto 5 I plan on using with a standard Invector Indian Creek Black Diamond Strike choke.
I shot it this weekend with Hevi-13 #6's. It was 44 degrees and a little windy.
This is at 30 yards. The circle is just under 10" (I didn't have a plate that was actually 10").
When I expand the circle to 10", I was at about 180 @30 yards (the paper says 158, but the circle is a little small).
My POI is clearly off. I'm picking up a rib mounted sight from Dead Ringer, so I should be able to dial that in. I was actually aiming at the small dot below the pattern.
I can't really find much info on how many hits you'd want from a 2.75" shotshell, since most guys are using 3 or 3.5" these days with a much larger payload.
Just wondering what the general impressions were. Do you think I could stretch this to 35 or 40 yards and still make an ethical shot?
Thanks,
Matt
