I don't think the hole spacing on a Marlin 336 rifle is not going to match the hole spacing on any shotgun. The only reason people use the Burris Marlin 336 base on their shotguns is it gives the lowest and cleanest looking installation of the Fast Fire sight without having to use the Burris Picatinny adapter. But the hole spacing is not going to match and the shotgun must be drilled and tapped to match the base. There is no reason to use any other manufactures 336 base because not only is the shotgun still going to have to be drilled and tapped but it will only provide you a rail and you will still need the Burris Picatinny adapter.
Either use the Burris Marlin 336 base and have the gun drilled and tapped.
Or use a Picatinny or Weaver base made for your gun and then mount the Burris Fast fire to it with a Burris Picatinny adapter.
