how to find the best choke/load combo?

I would think hte best way would be to pick the load you want to shoot the turkey with based upon the range you intend to shoot and then try to find a choke that shoots it best.
However it may be cheaper to buy one choke and find a load it likes.
How do you do your selection and why?
