Question about picatinny rail

I bought a millett picatinny rail for my 870. I'm putting a ff3 on it. The question is will the rail stay put with the standard screw they sent for the rail? My gunsmith torqued em to what they needed to be and applied loc tite. Should I have went with screws or the standards usually good enough?

Even on my 7mm mags and 30-06's I just use the regular screws that come with the mounts. I am going to use the regular screws that came with the picatinny mount for my 935 when I mount it.

I think as long as you loctite it you are good!

I agree. The forces during shooting are primarily in shear on the screws. The use of loctite in conjunction with correct torquing will hold them easily.

Millett is a quality brand.  I believe you can trust their equipment.  Not likely to shear their screws.  Screw holes and screws should be cleaned with alcohol or acetone, blue or purple loctite applied, and torqued to 20-25 inch pounds for #6-48 screws or 25-30 inch pounds for #8-40 screws.  If you had a gunsmith install it it should be fine.
