Best 12ga Pattern with Hevi13 number 6's

My 11-87 with a 21" barrel put 202 of the hevi #5 shot in a ten at 40. I was shooting one of the old MAD Max choke tubes.

If I could get that on a constant basis then that is what I would be shooting!

They were all 3.5" 2.25oz H-13 #6's. I was a little surprised myself that the shorter 870 brl out performed them all. I also tried a I.C .665 in the Remingtons but the Jelly head out performed it, " not by much tho". That 870 with the 21"brl actually shot better with 3" H-13 #6's than my high dollar SBEII with 3.5" 2.25oz #6's. If you don think that makes me just a little unhappy.

Can't remeber the exact number, and didn't feel like trying to count them on a computer screen, but here's somewhere in the neighborhood of 240 out of my SBEII with 2.25oz hevi 13 load, shooting a jelly head. I had an 835 that with the same load and choke would shoot mid 260's. I didn't save any pictures of those patterns though.

I was happy with this pattern, the 20 numbers were good as well. Gives me some room for error. That's a 3 inch shell.

I decided on a Sumtoy for my old SBE with a 26" barrel, shootin Hevi13, 3.5, 2.25 of #6 shot, it put 261 in the 10 at a measured 40yds with good smooth pattern in the 20.

I would of loved to seen that pattern.  You must have got a shell with a lot smaller shot than normal.
