Carbon tube striker don't make noise

Do I need to condition the tip of a MAD carbon tube striker somehow.  I can't get my carbon striker to make any noise on my aluminum call.  Thanks for the help.

I would clean the tip with a Scotch-Brite pad first and then try holding the striker in different positions/angles when running it.  Adjusting the angle is probably all you need to do to get it to play.

I had one of those once. It literally wouldnt play on anything. I made myself one since then and it sounds great. Not sure what is wrong with that thing but..

Throw it away, those strikers are garbage, as are most M.A.D. branded products.  JMO.
