I have a 3" 20 h&r I'm considering having machined for threaded chokes for a light weight turkey gun. My question is how do you determine the type or model choke prior to having this done, since you buy a choke based on the mfg. of the shotgun? Would you have it cut as a Remington, Moss, or what since H&R's didnt come with threaded barrels? I hope this makes sense to you

I would say Remington treads would be great to have cut because 99% of chokes come to fit a Remington.  JMO.

Yes, there are many choices of Remington threaded tubes, but it will depend on what the gunsmith you go with is tooled for (ie Remington, Invector, Tru-Choke).

Thanks for the replys, I talked to Gundoc a while ago and he gave me a couple of options.

Good Luck. They are a fun little gun. I set one up last year for my 8 yr old daughter and she stoned 2 birds. It was her first time hunting.
