I shot the Lead Nitro Company Loads back in the mid 1990's long before they started to make Hevi-shot material -
I was using my Remington sp10 with a .685 Rhino and would get about 160 with the straight #5 nickel plated in the 3 ounce load , and nearly 300 with the triplex copper 7x5x4's in 3 ounce offerings - The 3 ounce loads even out of a 11 pound gas operated autoloader ,were of considerable power and recoil , The gun would belch flames out the muzzle , and would about leap out your waiting and prepared hands - Nitros are very robust loads ---- the shells doubled the pellet count from what was available { for me }at the time , I killed many a swamp gobbler with those and would continue to do so if needed
When Nitro went to Hevi , it substantially improved the knockdown power of the pellets - The lead loads are good but almost as pricey as the hevi's - would urge you to get the Nitro Hevis over the lead
