I've been getting all kinds of different critters this year on camera, but this is a first for me.

If I'm not back in five minutes, wait longer!

you're gonna have to point it out to me.  I see something white on the side of the tree in top pic, nothing in bottom pic?

It's a flying squirrel, I get them on my cams every once in a while too. Look about half way up the tree in the second shot, look for the eye shine.

He's in the center of the tree a little over half way up in the bottom picture.  If you zoom in on it you can see it pretty good in both pictures.  It's Rocky the flying squirrel.   I see them from time to time but never had one show up on any of my game-cams.

I thought that you were talking about getting a tree on camera, Ronnie!!
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
If attacked by a mob of clowns, go for the juggler.

Flying squirrel, I see it now.

For a minute I thought you were talking about this guy.  ;D

I had no idea flying squirrels came out at night.

I haven't seen one in over 20 years when I pushed over a dead tree in the woods and 3 of them glided out as it went over.   Cool stuff.

Tail Feathers

An old guy on my deer lease used to have a deer stand with a false floor.  He had 'em raising young'uns in the compartment created by that.  I don't know that I've ever seen one in the wild, much less at night. :icon_thumright:

Weird. Never seen one.

They are more common than most people realize but you hardly ever see them because they are nocturnal. We catch them all the time doing bat surveys though.
