Here is the final design on the tube gonna make 'em out of walnut and birdseye maple. Oh, I have to get some O-Rings too, rubber bands just don't cut it...pappy

I love it.  Looks great and I am sure it sounds like a nasty old hen looking for love.

noisy box call that seems to sound like a flock of juvenile hens pecking their way through a wheat field

I actually made one of my amplifier tubes with a piece of copper on the inside. Sounds good. I had a friend tell me to line one of my regular tube calls with an aluminum can and call on  it. He learned it from an old MS turkey hunter. Good idea.

I found out that there was another call maker years back that made tubes with linings,  "Morgan Caller" ... made by Kenny Morgan... sadly he passed away in November of 2011 from cancer. He had it patented in 1973,  I have emailed the family and sent them pics and dimensions of my call but no response as of yet. I feel confident I wouldn't be infringing on anything, as my size inside dimensions and materials used are different, the only thing is the brass or metallic insert.  So, I will continue to make these as I have received great feedback from several folks who have them in their possession......you can check out Morgan's Caller at this site... http://www.turkeycallers.com/products
