This Debate has me shaking my head

When I keep hearing the current adminstration talk about the "middle class" and everything they are doing for them. They dont seem to understand which class they are talking about.

Around here the "middle class" isnt the ones getting free phones and welfare, and tax cuts. PS..Ive lost a lot more than 5400 dollars a year since this administration has taken office.  Try a total house hold income LOSS of over 100,000 dollars.

Please would one Democrat just come out and tell the truth. We want to make the lower class EVEN with the middle class, while making the true middle class and wealthy pay for it.

We are done if these idiots get re- elected.

This is the second debate that the Democrats have sat there and told us over and over again that they've taken many measures to help the middle class, while I see them doing the exact opposite.

Who are they talking about ?

Only people I see getting "help" are the freebie grabbin', non working-could be working, disability faking trash cause it sure ain't my handicapped foster kids they're helping.

Let me tell you my personal story, since Obama took office. My wife and I both are college educated. We come from working class families both taught that hard work and education matters. We both have college degrees. I worked in college and took out students loans (which I PAID off last year, by working) to pay for my education. Together at one time we had a house hold income of around 148,000 a year. We made this amount for almost 10 years straight ( The entire Bush Presidency, and when Clinton Congress was Reblican controlled). The economy started tanking and then her job went away over night. 148,000 down to 92,000 in one night. Then  a few months later my job "changed" its conditions and my 92,000 turned into 77,000. Never once did we ask for help. We said, we will pinch pennies, work harder find a way to pay some stuff off to lessen OUR debt, Thats right OUR RESPONSIBLITY. Times got tough, but with a little work things  start evening out. Then I get hit with "your job is done" unless you transfer. Well, I have a family to support so of course I say yes, Ill transfer. Put my house on the market, cant sell ( and even to this day 3.5 years later, house hasnt sold, still on market 20k less than what I owe) My family stayed in Georgia and I lived in SC during the week and commuted home on weekends. my 77,000 stayed the same, thank goodness, but now I have rent and living expense coming out of it. We managed to scrape by on this for 2.5 years, and even paid stuff off (my college loan, YEAH). Well a year ago September, my 77K job was finally done. I had to find a new job. I scrambled hard and got several offers, but now the jobs dont pay like they did. Well I had to take one, and made it back home to the family. My new job is 42k, but with hard work can be eligible for bonuses, my new companies health insurance is WAY more expensive, so that comes out of that 42k. Im blessed to be employed, but I cant pay my bills on my base salary without the bonuses. Again, Ill just work hard, pinch pennies and we will figure it out. I stretched out my severance, then got a tax return that we stretched, and now because I WORKED HARD AND EARNED bonus money, Ive made enough to get by, for now.

However, before making bonuses I tried to use Obamies loan modification. After waiting 6 months and sending the same papers over about 7 times, we were denied. Im to proud to file Bankruptcy. I dont want sympathy, I dont want free stuff. I want to work hard and dig my family out of the hole. My wife is also starting to find some work, and help a little, but its tough around this house. When I hear Biden and Obama talk about taking care of the middle class I want to kick em in the face. All I ever see is them taking more from me in taxes and giving it to people that dont do a dang thing to deserve it. The are not helping anybody in the middle class. They are trying to take the middle class down to the welfare class. If you want to know how Im voting, Your dang right Im voting Republican.

Your story is so similar to mine. Between my wife and I we earned about 136,000 (her as an RN & working alot of OT and me as an construction supervisor). We tried to get help from Obummers mortgage plans and were denied after my company closed its doors. I went back to college and got my degree and now we make about 110,000 togeher. We pay our bills, feed 3 children, pay for education and still get raped every week in taxes. This money then is given to people who dont work at all so they can take vacations, get free phones. smokes, beer, cars, etc.  When I was going to college, I would see kids go until their checks were dispursed and then they stop going. I dont mind helping people get an education but what I do mind is paying for people  to get educated and then spend OUR money on crap. These people dont become productive citizens and contribute back into society. All they do is keep getting free handouts that you & I pay for. My wife and I try to save our money for my childrens future education b/c we know that they wont qualify for any help. What a joke. SAVDUCK I wish you and your family well in these troubling times. Fellas thank you very much for the comments and prayers, please know that my familys prayers include all of you. I've shared my story with many others, and so many people are in the same position. Many are just giving up. I refuse to give up. My beliefs are that if you stay the course and grind it out positive things will happen.

I can tell from all the threads on this board that we will overcome as a Nation. There  are still plenty of hard working, honest, level headed Americans. The time is now though.
