With the drought we have little to no water most places. Happened to be out driving around and found a few hundred ducks feeding in a soybean field. Ended up having to set up in the water way, but a 20 mph south wind helped. Ended up with a limit of mallards, and we had one chance at a bonus widgeon hoving over my brother's blind but he didn't see it.
Sorry, lots of pics but we haven't had very many good hunts this year. The wife gets induced Thursday, so its likely my last hunt of the year. Also I shot video if someone can recommend a good downloadable video editor.

The set

The dog

Find the pintails

Mallards

The retarded duck that wouldn't leave. Already had our limit of mallards so we finally sent the dog. He stayed there while we stood up and shot videos and pictures.

And finally the "tailgate shot"

My 10 second limit of geese during first season. Took out the lead bird on the second shot and the flock split. Let me get two more shots in the BPS and 2 more birds went down. I'll never pull that off again. reflexl

Our season went out today, what water we had froze over and the ducks that were hanging around left. I would have like to got out at least 1 more time this season.

Lookin' good guys!

Had a pretty good season. Didn't get to hunt as much as usual, and the kill counts weren't as high as they have been, but I got get in on some good hunts and had a lot of fun!
