Wormy Chestnut by the Creek

This is a very old piece of American Chestnut...best I can tell is I could clearly counted 167 growth rings in the chunk I got from a beam in an old barn (built in 1852) so that makes the wood according to my math, no less than 327 years old.  I matched it up with a Walnut lid and base and tossed in some Padauk spacers and Wanut end blocks.  Chestnut is EXTREMELY diffucult to burn due to the very hard growth rings and the soft wood between.  I hate   to burn Chestnut, but love   the sound.  This call is headed to S Carolina to a guy who lived in NY for 42 years.  Took a walk in the woods this am and captured the pics along a rocky creek bank.  Thanks for looking.
