Hasnt been this special before. My 8 yr old daughter killed her first gobbler on April 7th this year with a 20 ga that I used to kill my first deer when I was 9. She passed up 5 Jakes and 20 minutes later two longbeards came into play. They approached from over her left shoulder and we were caught unable to move. The birds were approaching wary and I was praying somehow she could get adjusted for her shot without spooking them. They were about 60 yards when a blanket of fog eased across the ridge like a prayer answered. Visibility was half that and I got her to turn. less than 2 minutes later the fog lifted. The birds went around trees on approach as I asked her if they were clear yet. As they were getting too that "too close" range she said she was shooting the "fat one" she got a clear shot at 15 yards dead in front. The hammer dropped so did the strutting tom...one flew and she said "aww daaad, I missed"..turned around frowning..and I started laughing..NO YOU DIDNT GIRL! look there!... as she noticed a wing flopping the screaming commenced..and I was the happiest dad that day.  The rest are just pics from this season.

Way to go, Jim. That is priceless. The picture of your daughter holding the empty is a classic. Good stuff, my friend..
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
