Turkey Mounts

Still waiting on the 1.5 incher to get mounted.. I have killed right around 100 birds and one of them was 1 3/8 but still waiting on the 1.5 incher before paying for the mount..

......until I killed my MO turkey with 1 3/4" spurs. He just has to be showed off.

1.75" is strong. Did you post pictures of the spurs? If so, I would like to know the post so I can see them. Not doubting you by any means, I just want to see those incredible spurs. Thanks in advance and congrats on a bird of a lifetime.

Killed a few in college I should've had mounted. Waiting on another with 1.5" spurs before I get a mount. It will be the dead mount pose

I have one in the freezer that's going as soon as the season slows down. I was waiting on the 1.5 inchers but this years 1 7/16 will have to do.

It is so simple to cape birds for mounting that I always cape several gobblers each spring for potential mounts.  Right now I have probably ten capes in the freezer.  If I get some free time and a hankerin' to mount a bird, I just choose one, thaw it out, and get to mounting.  It give me a chance to experiment a little with mounting techniques and positions with capes that are expendable rather than with somebody else's prized gobbler.

I just got into fooling around with turkey parts this year.  I actually tanned a gobbler's face early in the season, although I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it, lol.
