Nice Va bird today for me.

Got on this bird at 8:30 and had to move on him 9 times. Had a hen cut me off and take him away. I moved around the mountain and set up where I thought they would move to feeding. Made a few calls and he finally gobbled again. That was about 10:45 about mins latter I seen a fan on top of the ridge. He came on over and seen my decoy and went to full strut. The hen came buy at about 50 yards. Thin he stated side stepping in full strut all the way down the hill. At 28 yards he got a full head of #5 from a 3 1/2". My best year yet.

Glad you stuck with him, perseverance along with a bit of patience, kills a lot of turkeys.
