I'm headed to Kansas next week and was wanting to buy my license before I went.  My question is can I print my license off at home or is it sent to me?

Thanks.

spaightlabs

Print it at home and you are good to go.

Print at home and make sure you sign where applicable. Also, make sure you purchase licenses for the proper unit.

Print an extra copy or two to keep in your truck.  Printer paper, even stored in a ziplock bag, doesn't hold up well when the weather gets crappy.

Doesn't hold up all that well while notching month/day against a rough barked tree either!

OK, thanks again.

How much will I be spending.  I've heard a couple different amounts like $110 or $70.  From looking at the DNR site, it looks like it may be in the $70 range.

Thanks

I believe you will need a Non Resident hunting license- $72.50 + $32.50 for a Turkey Permit which gets you one tag + $22.50 for an extra tag if you plan on trying to kill two (which is good only in Units 1 and 2)...

So for just one turkey                                         -- $105.00

OR

For two turkeys (if hunting in units 1 or 2)          -- $127.50

I just got back from Kansas last Friday.

Woops, that notching was the MO tag not the KS tag. You do need to fill out date of kill, time and sign.

The extra game tag is only valid in Unit 2, 3 NOT Unit 1. The limit is one for Unit 1.
If I had a dollar for every gobbler I thought I fooled I'd be well off!

crimefighter

Ok, was going  through the process and  bought the non res. hunting license.

Now do I get the $31 permit and $21 spring turkey unit 2 and 3 gametag non resident or just that $31 permit.

I am hunting in unit 2.

crimefighter

I think I figured out what the $21 tag is for.  The 2nd bird.....right?  I may buy it after I shoot the 1st one.

Gamblinman

Be aware that if you buy your second tag separately..The second tag will not be valid until the following day. Only way to kill both birds on the same day is to purchase the game permit, and game tag at the same time.
