The Old Man Hits Pay Dirt

Three weeks ago my dad had eye surgery on his right eye. The Doc said he will never be able to see any better out of it than he can now. Dad can not even see the barrel of his mag. shot gun. let along the bead on the end of the barrel. He tyred scopes and can see a little, but not very good. I had no worries about him being able to call one in, but I did worry about him being able to shoot.Today at 12:45 he called in and killed a 19 1/4 lbs, 10 3/8" beard with 1 5/8" spurs. Dad stoped by the lab were I work and I measured and weighed it for him. My dad has killed many, many gobblers but I think this was the happest I have ever seen him over a gobbler. Ooo-yea he shot it left handed with his good eye. He said when he looked through the scope the x arrows looked like 2 snakes fighting so he switched hands. Not bad for a 75 year old man. When I was a boy dad was my hero, he still is my hero.
